Project Management
​
Calibre Engineering project managers are experienced mold makers, committed to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. They ensure design is accurately adapted to the manufacturing process while maintaining project schedules and confirming quality. They offer an interface for customer communication, and enables each stage to be managed through the eyes of the customer throughout the entire project.
Design & Engineering

Calibre Engineering is driven to create designs that optimize the production performance and quality of our customers’ products. We provide a seamless extension of our customers’ product development team through engineering molds to making concepts reality. We utilize the latest in CAD and modeling software to ensure superior precision to meet our customers’ critical product specifications. In house 3D Printing capabilities for prototyping and qualifying designs are also available.
Onsite Support

Calibre Engineering can provide on site support during mold testing and is also available to assist in troubleshooting any mold related issues whether the tooling is built by us or another vendor.
Industry Support

Alteration and Maintenance
​
Calibre Engineering can engineer customer product revisions on existing molds as required. Calibre Engineering will expertly diagnose and engineer an optimal solution to a multitude of potential issues related to final part quality, production inefficiency and general wear and tear of a tool.
Custom Machining
​
In conjunction with our expert tooling, Calibre Engineering also provides custom machining with high speed CNC 3 axis vertical mills, CNC 4+1 axis horizontal boring mills, CNC gun drills and CNC wire and sink Electric Discharge Machines (EDM) equipment. The CNC equipment is interconnected through a high-speed computer network that utilizes manufacturing software. Our integrated equipment combined with our design department’s modelling expertise will ensure projects have a quick turnaround time while delivering on precision machining.
Gas Assist
​
Calibre Engineering, precision builds both low and high pressure injection molds capable of utilizing gas assist technology. Strategically located channels are engineered to ensure large complex designs with varying (thin and thick) wall thicknesses are adequately filled to manufacture the highest quality production parts.
Compression
​
Calibre Engineering designs compression molds for a variety of end uses and applicable industries. Working in unison with the customer and press maker, the most cost effective, optimal compression mold design is engineered to meet all product, press and manufacturing specifications for maximum production efficiency.
Low Pressure Injection
​
Calibre Engineering specializes in innovative structural foam tooling. Structural foam molds are engineered with aluminum cores and cavities, designed to minimize cycle times and maximize production rates. Molds can be designed up to 170” x 100” and 90,000lb with multiple cavities and inserts. Our customers encompass many industries including material handling, construction and recreational products.
High Pressure Injection

Calibre Engineering has extensive experience building high pressure injection tooling in a variety of sizes and designs to comply with our customers’ every specification. Our molds can be engineered with hot-runner systems, integrated cooling, stack and multi-cavity functions. Molds can be designed for prototyping to mass-production applications. Calibre Engineering has completed projects with high pressure injection tools in a wide variety of industries, including material handling, construction, automotive and consumer products.

Procedure

Our experts will develop blueprints and schematics, consult with industry professionals (engineers and manufacturers) to get specifications and production nailed down, and solve any problems that come up along the way.

This involves selecting materials, specifying production processes, identifying the sequence of operations, and selecting necessary tools. We can work with you to create jigs and fixtures or point you in the right direction for metal cutting and metal and plastics forming tools.
